Mascot Bowl with the boys

So tonight I (Jason) was planning on taking the kids to the Mascot Bowl in Lehi. A football game with various mascots against a Lehi Junior High football team. Kennidee decided she didn't want to go, so it was just the boys.

Dawson loved seeing all the different mascots, but wanted a tshirt for autographs, but apparently those were sold out, so we'll go earlier next year. Kyson wasn't so sure about most of them, but he had fun playing on the field during the second half when we moved down there.

Now for my proud father moment... Dawson sees the Ute mascot (on crutches as a setup for a trick play later in the game apparently) and tells him UTES SUCK (he was not coached on that), so Swoop lifts up his feathers as if he were mooning him, and then Dawson tried to kick his butt. Funny stuff!

Anyhow, Kyson showed that he's not ready to head down to BYU games yet, maybe next year, but he sure had fun playing with Dawson down on the field.

This is what we do when we are BORED!

So I got this really cool straightener a few weeks ago and it does these cute little ringlets too. I love fixing Kennidee's hair. Yesterday at our Elementary school auction I bid on these cute flower bows for Kennidee. Today she picked out which one she wanted to wear and I had to find something that matched. She then insisted on having her hair curled. So just for fun we decided to go and take a few pictures of her outside. She is such a little poser. I love it. You would never know that she was the most horrible baby ever to take pictures of. She wouldn't smile for anything. Now she is all smiles all the time. She is such our princess. I love having a little girl. She is sooo much fun. Anyway here are a few of the pictures we took.

I got tagged again!

6 Random things about me!
I am not really sure who to tag on this either cause I think I was tagged on this before and never got around to doing it. So I am going to tag Megan, Niki, Erin, Cara and anyone else that wants to. If you have already done it and I tagged you then sorry.

Random fact #1- I am so totally terrified of any kind of spiders, snakes or rodents. This is seriously retarded but I don't like even smashing spiders with my own shoes. Luckily we have our house sprayed and I dont see tons of spiders and have never had any rodents. knock on wood!

Random fact #2- I am kind of a perfectionist I go nuts when things are not done correctly. Things have to be done in the order that I do them and done the way I do or I go crazy. Dawson has inherited this "not so" wonderful quality from me. If he messes up on something he throws a fit and sometimes breaks or throws away whatever he messed up on.

Random fact #3- I absolutely hate folding laundry. I will wash it but I put off folding it for as long as I possibly can.

Random fact #4- I love having people over to my house for dinner, games or whatever. People are always welcome. When I build a house I want a huge kitchen and dining room so that I can have Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas, birthday parties or just get together with friends and family at my house. I seriously love hosting things. Maybe it is cause I love to cook too.

Random fact #5- I have to be multi-tasking. I can't just be doing one thing at a time. If I am cleaning the house then I am on the phone, If I am watching TV I have to be on the computer too. I get seriously bored if I am only doing one thing. I think that is why I loved working at Kiddie Kandids so much. It kept me entertained and busy.

Random fact #6- I absolutely love to sing. I love singing Karaoke or just sing to the radio. I love singing at church too but for some reason I am too chicken to join the choir. I sing all the time with the kids around the house and we rock out in the car together. I am not saying that I am good but I absolutely love it! Dawson and Kennidee love singing too. I can't wait til Kyson can sing with us too.

Our little Athlete

So this year Dawson is playing Soccer again and he is also playing flag football. He has football practice on Tuesday and Thursday then the games on Saturday. Then he has soccer games on Wednesday. This results in alot of running around for Mom. He loves it though. It is also very fun going to watch all the games and see how much he has improved since last year. His team this year has won most of their games. Dawson is such a fast little runner. He has also scored several goals and assisted in quite a few more. I love that he enjoys sports. I think it is so good for him. I hope that he continues to enjoy soccer. It gets out some of that energy running up and down the fields.

Football is also very fun to watch. This is his first year but he likes it alot. I love watching him running after the kids and trying to pull the flags. He has stumbled over his feet a few times but he gets right back up. The little kids are so funny because sometimes they forget it isn't tackle and end up knocking people down. Kyson really likes watching the games too. He claps and then as soon as we get him out of his stroller he is trying to join in. I hope Kyson always loves his brother as much as he does now. They have such a special bond. Kyson lights up everytime he sees and he tries to do everything that he does. Even if it isn't something we really want him to be doing. LOL We love Dawson so much and we are so proud of him. Keep up all the good work.

A day that will never be FORGOTTEN!

Today is the 7th annivesary of that horrible day that will never be forgotten. I can't believe it has been that long. I remember it like it happened yesterday. Jason and I were sitting here tonight watching the news from that horrific day. Watching it again just breaks my heart all over again for all the victims and the families that were affected by the events of that day.

Where we you that horrible day?????

I remember waking up that day and getting ready for work. I only had a 10 minute drive to work and had a CD that I was listening to so when I got to work I had not heard anything about what was happening. I remember walking into Kiddie Kandids and my managers face was in shock and she was trying to get sound on the TV or radio in the store. We were not able to get a signal but we finally were able to get the radio to work. The second tower had just been hit. I instantly was so worried that day for my sister who was on her honeymoon. She had flown out to Florida for a cruise on September 9th and was expected back later that week. I was so worried about how she was going to get home and if she was going to make it home safe. I just wanted to go home and glue myself to my couch and watch the news and make sure all my family and friends were safe. Unfortunately the Mall management felt we still needed to be open. There was the strangest feeling that day throughout the mall. It was dead and those that were there were all just wanting to be home with loved ones. I was pregnant with Dawson and remember thinking that I was not going to get the chance to safely bring this child into the world. I remember being so scared. Finally after I got off work I went home and sat in front of the TV and just sobbed. I don't think I moved off of the couch all night. The days following were such strange days. It was on everyones mind all the time. People were discussing it every where you went. I would get off of work and turn to the news again just hoping to hear that more people were able to be saved, that more families prayers would be answered.
The tragedy of September 11th will never be forgotten. Those who gave their lives will never be forgotten. We are so grateful for all of those men and women that continue to put their lives at risk day in and day out for us to have freedom and help keep us safe from these kinds of attacks. We are so blessed to live in America!

Need a Plumber?

***Warning the material contained in this post may not be suitable for all ages.
**Those that have weak stomachs might not want to read this post. Pictures are very graphic!**** You have been warned!

Okay so what do you do when your sink looks like this?

Our sink has been clogged for a few months now. It has slowly been getting worse and worse. Well on Sunday I was getting so frustrated because you could not even have the water on for a few seconds without it filling up. Then when you turn the water off it would take a few minutes to drain. So I asked Jason to fix it. Well he informed me that a few weeks ago he put some Drano in it. Well obviously that did not work cause I had not even noticed. So I told him that the pipes needed to be pulled apart under the sink and cleaned out. He just shrugged me off! Anyone who knows Jason knows that is not his idea of fun. Well we now can add a plumber to the list of things that I am. So now I am a maid, cook, taxi, electrician, receptionist, accounts payable, Doctor, Nurse, painter, counselor, interior decorator and plumber. Anyway enough of my tantrum. So tonight when I went in to brush my teeth and the sink was almost over flowing within a few seconds I decided that it was time to step in. So I got under the sink and pulled off the pipes. I cleaned them out and put them back on.

It was still clogged so I pulled out the pipe that goes into the wall. I cleaned that out and it was still clogged. So I went outside and found a stick (I was not using anything out of my house to go up into those pipes). I used the stick to try and clean out the pipe that is connected to the sink and then the one that is in the wall. Well I kept hitting something in the pipe. So I made this little contraption below.

Well I was scooping stuff out of the drain. Nasty, nasty stuff. The water was disgusting. If you look closely at the picture then you can see black stuff at the bottom that was like tar.

I was still not getting all of the crap so I finally stuck the stick into the pipe in the wall and twisted it over and over again. Finally I pulled out this.

What the crap is that? Seriously! It has got to be some nasty build up. I wanted to seriously vomit. But hey it is clean now and it drains. Kudos to Plumber Kacy!

Now for the serious complaining. So the whole hour that I am digging in the sink, going in and out of the house to wash pipes and find sticks, while every light in the stinking house is on, Where do you think Jason is? In the next room pretending to be asleep. As soon as I was finished and came to start posting this he went into the bathroom and did not even acknowledge me. Gee honey hope you got a good nights rest! Don't worry I left the bowl of nasty water with tar and other crap for you to go dump. Didn't want you to miss out on all of the fun.

This is pretty accurate!

Global Personality Test Results
Stability (56%) moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.
Orderliness (56%) moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.
Extraversion (83%) high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

This is mostly accurate. I am not sure about the orderly part.

Just because I can!

Okay so on Saturday Jason finally bought me a scanner. I am so stinking excited. I have wanted one for a long time. We were at Costco and they had a super deal on this beauty.

I am so excited and have had fun playing with it and getting familiar with it. I have so many pictures and stuff that are from back in the day when we did not use digital cameras that I have not been able to get on my computer til now. We had a scanner when we got married but when we bought a new computer it was not compatible. The best thing about this one is that it is completely wireless so I can have it downstairs and be upstairs printing stuff off. I love it. Thanks Honey. So for my first attempt at scanning pictures I thought it would be fun to scan some of our wedding pictures since I was not able to post them on my Anniversary post. So here are some belated pictures.

One of our many engagement pictures. Dawson wasn't very happy cause it was so hot.

Kennidee's First Day of Preschool

I can't believe how time flies. Kennidee started her second year of preschool today. She was so excited. We went school shopping a few weeks ago and we had so much fun. She loves to shop. She was trying on clothes in the middle of the aisle and had to come home and try on everything for her Daddy. As she put on each outfit she would check herself out in the full mirror to make sure she approved of everything. My sister Kori went with us and Kennidee really likes Kori and is super excited about her cute sylish jackets that Kori found for her. Unfortunately her teacher had them all wear their preschool t-shirts for the 1st day but she already has her outfit picked out for Thursday. When I picked Kennidee up from school she was so excited and can't wait to go back. I can't believe my little princess is getting so big.

Here is a picture of Kennidee with her cousins Talia and Sheadan. They are all going to school together this year. Poor Mrs Jensen.

Book of Mormon Stories

So lately Kennidee has been carrying her Book of Mormon everywhere we go. If we go to dinner she has it in her hand. If we go to Walmart she is carrying it there as well. She also sleeps with it. So The other night I went into my bedroom and she was asleep with it open and her hand on the page. It was so funny. I had to run and grab the camera and take a picture. She cracks me up.
