Attack of the church bench!

Jason and I have always said that Kyson was going to be our first child with broken bones or stitches. Kyson has no fear. He is always trying to climb up bookshelves, counters, dressers...etc. So today at church during sacrament meeting he was goofing off. He kept walking across the bench, getting down walking to the other end of the bench, getting back up on the bench and walking across again. Well during the passing of the sacrament he walked towards Jason and took a step off of the bench resulting in him smacking his head on the wood corner of the thing that holds the hymn books. Jason picks him up as he is screaming. I look over and his head is gushing blood. Of course it is quiet so everyone is staring at us as we run out with blood dripping all over Jason's white dress shirt. I run out not even thinking to grab our bags or keys. Luckily my friend Deana came out and went and got the bags for us. At the time we thought for sure he was going to need stitches as bad as it was bleeding, but after we went by Kims house and had her look she said he would be okay and to put a bandaid on it. So we went home and gave him a bath and cleaned out all of the clothes and then gave Kyson some tylenol and let him take a little nap. Thank goodness he seems to be doing okay. I have been watching him closely for any signs of abnormal behavior. I was so freaked out though. I have never seen a head injury like that and I don't do well with blood anyway. So here are a few pictures that we took of Jason and Kyson when we got home before clean up started.

This picture shows the back of his shirt however when you took the shirt off it was drenched on the inside. It was puddling up at his neck. Sick I know.

Daddy looks like he was just in a war of some sort. He even has it on his face. Gross. We are sure glad that Kyson is okay though.

That is so sad, I am glad he is ok and didn't need to go the hospital. I hate when Ky gets hurt like that. I always freak out, it must be a mom thing.
So we ended up doing her room blue, now we just have to wait for the bed set to come. I will post when everything is done. Thanks I had the hardest time desiding.

Ok...so yes, everyone in sacrament was looking around at each other wondering if he was ok and what we should do. NO ONE was worried about the noise..:) I was glad Deana jumped up to help, I was just about to do the same thing. He looked so sad. I am glad to hear he is ok.
So scary!

WOW! That does look bad. Good thing he was ok and did not need stitches. It's not fun having to hold your screaming child while they try to numb it for stitches.

Oh my gosh that is horrible. I would have freaked out. I'm glad he is okay though.

Two weeks ago Jordyn tried to do a nose dive over the back of the church bench which would have resulted in her landing on her head and doing who knows what to her neck. But Rusty and his cat like reflexes grabbed her by the ankle right before she hit the ground. It was a very close call. She is suck a monkey.
