Osmonds Pioneer Tribute Concert

So on Saturday Jason and I were able to go to the Pioneer Day Commemoration concert with the Osmonds. My mother in law had gotten some tickets and had given us some. So Jason, my Mom and I went out to dinner and then headed to the Conference center to join the crowds of people. We ended up having really good seats once we finally got in. It was seriously such an awesome concert. I wasn't really sure what to expect since it was at the Conference Center but that place was really rockin' out. The concert did have is serious moments as well. Marie did a version of "How Great Thou Art" that was absolutely amazing. When the Choir would join in it made it even more amazing. The Tabernacle Choir is so awesome to listen to. They have such powerful strong voices and you can always feel the spirit when they sing. My favorite songs that the Osmonds sang was a song called "He Ain't Heavy" and then a song called " "Whenever you're in trouble" They seriously did a fantastic job. It was also really funny watching them rock out 70's style. To end the show they did a song where they brought out their two oldest brothers that are deaf and they signed through the last song. It was really fun to see them include Virl and Tom. I actually grew up living behind Tom and his family. I have not seen him since we moved out of Orem and so it was really cool. They have such a neat and talented family. If you did not get a chance to attend the concert I highly recommend watching one of the broadcasts of it on BYUTV

Happy Pioneer Day!

For the 24th of July we did not get to do to much. Jason had to work so me and the kids watched the parade on TV and then that night we had a BBQ at Rusty and Kristen's with Jason's family. After that we came home and did fireworks with our kids. The kids were so excited. We were able to have Dawson for the 4th and the 24th this year. Hope everyone had a great holiday as well.

Oh we're going to a Hukilau

Day 1 and 2

So Last September we planned a trip to Maui with my sister Kori and her husband Randy. Unfortunately so much had changed for my sister and they did not know if they were going to be able to make it. Finally after several phone calls saying yes we are going and then more saying that they weren't the day was finally here and at 4:45in the morning on July 13th we received a message from my sister saying that they were not going. Finally at 6:00 in the morning she was on the road on her way up here. She got up here, dropped her kids off with my Mom and we were on our way to the airport.
So becaues of Jason being Platinum member with Delta Airlines we were able to fly first class (That was great). Jason booked our room at the the Wailea Marriott. We had a great room with an amazing view. The Marriott had super comfy beds. There were 4 different pool areas. There was a kids area and then just an adult only pool. Jason is also Platinum with Marriott as well so they always treat us really good. I love it! We are spoiled!
So we did not have much planned for Sunday just mostly hanging out and checking out the scenery and of course shopping before we headed to bed.
On Monday we went on a Snorkel Cruise to Lanai (another island about 8 miles across the ocean from Maui). That was an all day activity. It was pretty fun. We saw about 100 dolphins and some sea turtles too. They gave us a sack lunch for when they dropped us off in Lanai for a few hours and that was nasty. But we had an okay dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise so it made up for it. We got totally fried on the snorkel trip and my skin is pretty much falling off. LOL We checked out a few shopping areas in Lahaina before heading back to Wailea. In the shopping center by our hotel there was an Ice Cream place that had this awesome Ice Cream called "tutu's anniversary" so we had to get some of that before heading to the hotel for the night.

Jason and I

Kori and Randy

Day 3

Okay so on Tuesday it was kind of more of just a hang out day. So we headed up to Lahaina to the Black Rock Beach and the guys did some jumping off of the rocks and Kori and I just hung out on the beach. While the guys were getting up to Black rock to jump there were some sea turtles right by them and one popped his head right over Jason's shoulder. Kind of freaked him out cause it caught him off gaurd. That night we met up at Hard Rock Cafe with my friend Heather from High school. That was super fun to see her and her darling little girl.

Day 4

On Wednesday we were able to sleep in a little bit. Then we hung out at the beaches by our hotel and did some snorkeling and hung out by the pool for a while then for dinner we went to Kimo's in Lahaina. It is so good. They have this huge prime rib meal that was enough for two to share. Randy's birthday had just passed so we told them it was Randy's birthday and they came and sang to him. The brought out this dessert called Hula Pie that was to die for. It was Yummy. After dinner we went to a Magic Show at Warren and Annabelle's. The magic show was totally awesome. I know that it is all slide of hand stuff but it was amazing. I really don't know how these guys do it. If you ever go to Maui be sure to check it out. They have different magicians there all the time. You do have to be over 21 to go to it as well.

Day 5

So on Thursday we went to zipline course. I was so totally freaked out. By the end though I absolutely loved it. I would love to go again. On the way down from the Volcano I got way car sick. So when we stopped to get lunch we went to this yummy mexican place but I was too sick to eat. After that we did a little shopping and stocked up on chocolate covered Macadamia nuts at costco to bring home. After we headed back to our hotel for the rest of the day.

Day 6,7 and 8

So on Friday we went ahopping, snorkeling and then that evening we went to a Luau at the Marriott. It was totally fun but not as good as the one that we went to a few years ago at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We still had a good time. Saturday we got up and went to breakfast, shopping again and then went to the beach by our hotel and did some more snorkeling. That night we decided to go to Lahaina and go to Kimo's again for the famous Hula Pie and Prime rib again. After that we just checked out a bunch of the shops on Front street and then headed back to the hotel for our last night. Sunday was kind of just a boring day since we had to check out of our room and head to the airport. The only problem was that checkout was at 2:00 and our flight did not leave until 10:00 that evening. So we hung out by the pool and then got cleaned up and packed up and just did some sight seeing and last minute shopping and dinner before heading to the airport. We were flying out first class again and the plane that we had was an international plane so it had the tv's for each seat and the seats reclined almost all the way. It was great considering we were on the redeye flight and had children to come home too. We had such a great time. I was so ready to be home. I missed my kids like crazy but it was nice to get away too. Jason is the best at planning our vacations and always has things planned and organized. We always have a great time traveling. I can't wait to take the kids when they are a little older. Thanks to all of our family and friends that helped with our kids as well as Kori's kids. It makes it much easier when you know that you kids are in good hands.

Kennidee's family party

So on thursday night we had cake and ice cream for Kennidee's birthday with the family at the park. I decided it would be fun to make a cake this year for her and attempt to decorate it myself. It ended up turning out very cute. I was way excited. Kennidee however after I finally finished did not want to even eat it. We had a fun time though. Kennidee was being a pill and wouldn't blow out her candle. In fact she wouldn't even take a picture with her cake. Little stink. But we love her anyway.

Here is her cute princess crown cake I made. Isn't it cute?

Kennidee being a stink and not wanting to take a picture with her cake.

Kennidee with her new cabbage patch kid. I took a ton of pictures so I am not going to post them all. She had such a great birthday though and loved all her gifts from family and friends! Thanks everyone

Out with the old, In with the new

So for a few years now I have been checking out Toyota Sequoia's. There is a little lot in Lehi that always is getting them in, but selling them just as fast. So Jason's cousin was looking for a Honda Pilot and I found one on that carlot but it sold the same day. So Steve (the owner) told me he had another one coming in and would let me know when it was there. So on Tuesday Kristen sent me a message and said it was in and asked me to go and check it out. Well Steve had also just gotten in a Toyota Sequoia that had my name written all over it. So off I went to Dawson's baseball game with this car on my mind. I called Jason and he kind of just laughed. Well he said we could go and look at it the next morning. I was shocked. So we went and test drove it and it was super nice. So we went to the movie and then went back and talked to him. He had told us what he would give us for our Honda and we couldn't pass it up. He was giving us such a great deal on our trade that Jason said he would buy it for me. I was shocked. I have wanted one for so long and figured it was wishful thinking. So this is my 5 year anniversary gift. I love it. Thanks so much Jason for getting it for me. You are the best.

Out with the old!

In with the new!

Happy Birthday to Our Little Princess!

So Our Little Princess is now 4 years old. Wow how time flies. It seriously seems like just yesterday I was sitting in NBICU admiring how beautiful she was. I remember how excited I was to have a little girl. We had just moved in our house 5 days before she was born and I was all ready to bring her home. When she was born she was 4 weeks early. She was 6lbs 7 oz and had tons of black hair. She had tiny little features. When we got to the hospital I was almost complete but my water had not broke yet. I insisted that they give me something to take away the pain. So the only thing that would take effect was a spinal (Big mistake). She was delivered 34 minutes after we arrived but I was stuck in a bed for 4 hours after with numb bum! She came so fast that my mom wasn't able to get to the hospital but luckily I at least made it and my sister Kim was able to be there. They had to take her up to the nursery right away and they thought she had a hole in her Lung. Luckily after some tests and monitoring in Level 2 nursery she was able to go home with us on Sunday. Dawson was so excited to have a new baby. She has been so fun and is growing up so fast. She always keeps me laughing with her silly comments and she loves to give her Mommy hugs. However she is a total Daddy's girl. She loves to shop with Mom and loves clothes. We have alot of fun shopping for clothes and shoes for her. We are so glad that she is part of our family. She is so special and I hope she will always be our "Little Princess"

Happy Birthday Kennidee Nicole! We Love you!

A night out with Friends

Yum Yum are you hungry?

Our friends Jesse and Wyatt just moved back from Arizona and after Kennidee's party we hired two of the neighbor kids to take on 6 kids while we were gone. Scary I know but they did a super good job. So off we went to Outback. Jesse decided that I should take my camera with us. So I did! Jason and Wyatt were so excited about that. When Jesse and I get together we get really goofy. That is okay though. It is good once in awhile. Jason said it was only funny for a while and then we needed to go back to high school. But oh well. They even threatened to make us find our own way home. Then they realized we would and took it back. It was so fun though. I have not laughed so hard in a long time. Our dinner was good. My prime rib was a little over done though so I was bummed. I am so not one to send it back. I wish I would have though. I don't know if our husbands will let us go out again but I hope they do. It was fun! After dinner we went by Home Depot and bought a new fan for our kitchen. So Wyatt was nice enough to hang it for us. We also bought a new doorbell, it is wireless and plays 70 songs. Can't wait to hook it up. Then it was time to break out the game Ticket to Ride. Wyatt cheats but still lost!
(Note to Wyatt: You may have won on Sunday, but you lost on Saturday. You suck! Just deal with it. I love you anyway)

Me being goofy but Jason loves me!

~All dressed up with nowhere to go~

So Kennidee's birthday is on Wednesday. Ever since last years party she has been talking about having a princess party where her and her friends could go and get their hair and nails done. So last weekend I had her go and deliver her invitations and she couldn't wait. So finally the long awaited day has arrived. I took 11 little girls to Capelli's hair school for their "Mini" makeovers. Kennidee was on cloud nine. Her little friends Morgan and Addison were unable to make it and Kennidee was so worried about them missing it. The girls all had a great time. The girls at Capelli's did such a good job with all of their hair. After that we came home and had cupcakes and opened presents. Kennidee was so excited about her make-up, easy bake oven, her stuffed dog and all of her other fun stuff that her friends and cousins gave her. She had such a great day! We made cute little gift bags for her friends. It is seriously so much fun having a little girl. I took lots of pictures so Enjoy!

Right when we got to Capelli's before the makeovers

Here are all the cute girls back at my house after their makeovers

Stadium of Fire!

We were some of the lucky ones that got tickets this year to the stadium of fire. Jason's work was able to get presale for up to 25 tickets. So Kori brought her family up. Her husband couldn't make it so my Mom came with us and my Niece Brianna and Mattison. Our friends Brandon and Michelle came with their kids as well. A few years ago when we went it was so lame but this year was by far one of the better ones. Jesse and Wyatt were willing to watch Kyson so we took Dawson and Kennidee. Kennidee has been so excited for months to see Hannah Montana. She would tell us all the time that Hannah Montana is Miley Cyrus cause she has two names. So before we headed out we went to El Pollo Loco (seriously some good eats). If you haven't been there I recommend trying it. So then we headed down for all the fun of hearding 55,000 cows into the stadium. Parking as always is crazy. But we got there in plenty of time. We were even able to check out some of the pre stuff in the parking lot. My Nieces were very excited to sing Karaoke at the Disney radio tent. So the Stadium of Fire started out with Glenn Beck being the host. Glenn gave an awesome tribute to all the troops and their families. Then they had several guys parachuting, the kids all thought that was great. They had a big dance routine of 1300 girls. Way to go on the instructor of that one. The girls were all perfectly in sync. Way impressive. Then of course they have the famous fighter planes fly over the stadium. Kennidee was freaked out about that one. Anyway then there was the Blueman Group. LAME! Jason and I went a few years back to see them and I was bored out of my mind. However all the kids thought it was great. It was a little hard to see them from our seats but Thank goodness for the big screens. So then there was the popular MILEY CYRUS. You seriously had to plug your ears from all the little girl squeals when she came out. Kennidee could not hold still. She was standing on the bench shaking it the whole time and clapping. She was so excited. She was a little confused why we couldn't go up and meet her though. So after that were the fireworks. They were great. Kennidee was freaked out the whole time but Dawson was amazed. We had such a great time though. I am so glad that we live in such a great country. I am so grateful for our troops and all that they sacrifice for our Freedom. Hope everyone had a wonderful
4th of July.

Our Family at the Stadium of Fire

Rock on 80's

So a few months back I found out Poison was coming in concert. For those that don't know who Poison is, I am sorry! I wanted to go way bad but had just bought my Tim Mcgraw tickets and really couldn't afford those too. I had been to 3 of their other concerts before. So on Tuesday Jason informs me that someone at one of the radio stations owed him a favor and he had emailed him to see if he could get me Poison tickets and had received an email saying that there were 4 tickets at will call for him. I was so excited!!! The seats were actually pretty good (especially for free). So my sister Kori had wanted to go as well so I called her and told her I had tickets and asked if she could be up here Thursday instead of Friday. She was excited too. So on Thursday Kori, Lisa, Jesse and I all headed off to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then off to the Poison show. The opening band was Dokken and I only really know a few of their songs but Poison was really good. There were all sorts of crazy people there. People with big long haired wigs, bright cowboy hats and people totally from the 80's complete with bandannas and all. We even got some pictures with some of the crazy people at the concert. It was so fun to go with Kori and our friends. Kori and I always have so much fun together. I am glad we got to go and have a great time. Thanks Jason!

Lehi City Parade

On Saturday we decided to get up and go to the Lehi Chuck Wagon breakfast. After that we went to the parade. Jason had gone and set up chairs on Friday night so we could get our yearly seats in front of the post office. Our friend Jesse brought her kids and my brother Mike came with his wife and kids as well. On top of all of that we had my sister Kim's kids too. Yes we are nuts. But we had such a good time. Last year at the parade I bought a marshmallow gun. (for those that don't know what they are see pictures below). Well I was so excited to bring it this year and shoot the marshmallows at everyone. So between Me, Austin and Kylee we went through almost two bags of marshmallow mini's. My Niece Brynnley would sit on my lap and load it so I was ready to go next time a float came by. She was so funny. I let her try it once but she did not quite get how to do it. That is probably good cause I got a really dirty look from my brother when she was trying. Yes, I am the immature Aunt that likes to have fun.

Just some random pictures of all the kids. Even though Jason and I had 8 kids just with us then everyone elses kids we still had a blast.

Ready, Aim, Fire! Nice picture huh!

After then parade all the kids came over and were playing on our big blowup slide in the backyard. I have had insomnia really bad so Jason cleaned the house while I took a nap. (Insert your "oh how sweet" here). That night Jason's friend from Tyler and his wife Melissa came over for a barbecue. It was so fun to finally meet his wife. We played a little Rock Band and Mario Cart and then just hung out.

One, Two, Three like a bird I sing!

Okay so on Friday I went to the Tim Mcgraw concert. I absolutely love him and never miss a concert when he comes. Last year thanks to my wonderful husband, I got to go backstage for the preshow party. That was awesome. I got his autograph and everything. But this year I just had awesome seats. I love concerts at USANA usually security is funny about letting you run upfront but this year they let us. So we were at the stage the whole time. I loved it. I even got to touch him. I love it when he is without Faith just because he likes to give her the spotlight so much. When it is just him then I have more time to drool over him.
My sister and her husband went for their anniversary and a few songs in I took Me and Michelle's ticket stubs and went and got Kim and then she took them and went and got Shea. So yes we snuck them upfront. Naughty, Naughty! It was such a great time and I can't wait to see him again. Enjoy the pictures. I got some great ones.
