2 more down... 6 left

Well one of the "benefits" of my job is all the exciting (or boring) places I get to see. This week I flew into New Hampshire and drove to Maine... thus knocking out 2 states that I'd never been to. There's a website where you can create maps of all the states you've been to... let's see who can name the states I'm missing. (Click on the picture to see it bigger. It used to look really weird with all the western states except Washington and Oregon, but I finally knocked them off the list last year)

Attention guys whose wive's are addicted to "vampire love books" (AKA Twilight)

Ok so my wife (as MANY WIVES) is totally obsessed with Twilight... I found a hilarious blog which may help many of you understand what goes on in the books.

http://mormonhusbands.blogspot.com/2008/02/twilight-series-for-dummies-and-totally.html

There is some HILARIOUS tips in there for how to relate with your wife... I will include a few of them below, go to the link for more of them.

-If she thinks that you drive too recklessly: "Honey, please trust me as much as Bella trusted Edward when he had to break all known traffic laws to get her out of Forks and away from Victoria. If he can drive Bella's pickup truck that recklessly, then I should be able to steer with my knees while texting with my right hand and using my left hand to hold my Slurpee."

-If she ever says on a very warm day, "I feel so hot right now" you should respond with, "My body always feels hot to the touch....kind of like Jacob's." You can then raise your eyebrows like Magnum P.I., flex your pecks, and put your arm around her.

-If she ever says on a very cold day, "I feel so cold right now" you should respond with, "My body always feels cold to the touch....kind of like Edward's." You can then raise your eyebrows like Magnum P.I., flex your pecks, and put your arm around her.

Now I will admit that I started reading the books, in order to have something to talk about with Kacy. I just finished the 2nd book (WAITING ON HER TO FINISH THE THIRD SO I CAN START IT! HINT HINT), it has some good parts, like vampires and werewolves... thus far the love story is nothing TOO PATHETICLY DISGUSTING, just consider it the literate equivalent of a chick flick.

Anyhow, enjoy the blog!

I am still the cutest!

So today was the Lehi baby contest. I always think it is so fun to enter my kids. Jason really doesn't understand why I keep doing it. But there is nothing funner for a Mom then to show off their kids. So I had tried to find out what time we needed to be to the contest and never found what exact time, it just said from 10-3. I got up and got all the kids ready and got over to the Legacy Center at 10:05 just to find out that Kyson's age group was not till 11:15. Well I was not going to go home so I just hung out waiting. So finally at 11:30 he was at the judges. Now Kyson is not the most social child to begin with but after sitting waiting for 1 1/2 hours he was even less social. So we get up there and the judges just look at him. They told me just to do whatever with him. So I was trying to get him to dance and smile. He so was not interested. I got a very small smile out of him but that was it. So I knew that he was not going to win. There were so many kids. When we left they gave him a balloon. Well we went back at 3:00 for the results and as expected he did not win. It is totally fine though. I really don't need a piece of paper to tell me my kids are cute. When Dawson was a baby he won 2nd runner up in the Hawaiian tropic but did not even place in the Lehi one. It is seriously all about the personality. So they took a really cute picture though. He still wasn't being the happiest little guy on the planet but it turned out okay. So later tonight when we got home from everything he was crawling around and spotted his balloon again and had to have it. He crawled around with it all evening. He even had to eat dinner holding it in one hand. He was dancing while my nephews played rock band and when I went to put him in bed he tried to take it too. I let him keep it long enough to take a picture of him and then took it away. He was mad. I went in after he had been in bed for a couple hours and he was stinky so I woke him up to change him and he spotted his balloon again and grabbed it again. Unfortunately we had to start the whole disappointment thing again by not letting him take it to bed again. Mean Mommy!

Here is the picture that they took of him. I don't have a scanner though so I had to take a picture of a picture. Sorry it stinks!

Kyson just hanging out with his balloon. I have never seen a kid so attached. LOL

You know you're all jealous!

Rock band for the Wii has officially arrived at our house. Wahoo! I am so excited. We preordered it but the shipping doesn't show that it will arrive until Thursday. To be honest I could not wait. So I went down to Best Buy and bought another one. That way I could practice while Jason is gone and when he comes back from Maine I can show him up. LOL This is seriously the funnest game ever. We are just going to return the other one when it finally ships. I am so lovin the drums.

What are you doing using your sisters toothbrush?

Okay so when I went to St. George a few weeks ago for some odd reason I forgot to pack a toothbrush and kids toothpaste for Kennidee. So luckily I was not in some foreign country that doesn't use them and I was able to go to Wal-mart and pick one up. Kennidee picked out this cute Barbie toothbrush and watermelon toothpaste. When Dawson came back from Glenns he asked why Sissy got a new toothbrush and toothpaste. So I explained to him that I had forgotten hers and went and bought her a toothbrush and toothpaste. As he was getting ready to brush his teeth (while holding the new toothpaste)He asked me if it was to share. So I told him yeah of course it is. Well tonight I go walking in the bathroom and he was using Kennidee's cute little barbie toothbrush happily brushing his teeth. I looked at him and said "Why are you using Kennidee's toothbrush?" He turns around and says "Well you said it was for us to share." I busted up laughing. When I finally stopped laughing I explained to him that the toothpaste was to share, NOT the toothbrush. Of course I had to take a picture of the whole incident. Yeah that is disgusting.

Pretty Bird, Pretty Bird!

So I was over at my sisters house today and I hear my niece Talia come in and say that she found two birds at my house. I was downstairs and really wasn't paying attention to it. So Austin (my nephew) comes down and says she has them in a beanie hat. Well a few minutes later I go to leave and she wants to show me her birds. She had put them under a tree in the neighbors yard. So she walks up to me with one of them. So proud of herself.

So here is Talia with one of her birds. Oh and yes he is dead! Gross! She killed it and was now carrying it around. I finally convinced her that it needed to go to the garbage. The other one was still alive but I am sure it will be dead soon. Now I just hope she washed her hands before she went and had her hands all over the cookies at my sisters house from the home teachers.

I want a sister!

So on Friday our friends Mike and Michelle came over. They were visiting from Vegas and we thought it would be fun to barbecue. Well They have a little 2 Month old Little girl. For those of you that know Kennidee really well know that she really wants a little sister. There have been many times that she has tried to trade off Kyson for other little baby girls. Well she has changed from trading to just wanting two babies (Kyson and a baby sister). For those that know me also know this is not happening. So when baby Courtney woke up I finally got to hold her. I was excited! I love little babies. Kennidee soon realized I had her and instantly had to come and steal her away. Michelle was so good to let Kennidee hold her and feed her a bottle. That just made Kennidee's day. Ever since friday she keeps telling me that she wants a sister. Well she is going to be disappointed. Sometimes you really don't get what you want. Although Jason doesn't want to tell her no to that either. I think he should get a shot at pregnancy and child birth. Who is with me on this????

Here is the little Princess with baby Courtney

What do you do when your little girls Kitty Runs Away?

You go and get two more to replace it! At least that is what crazy parents like us do. Last week our little Bella ran away or got taken. We have checked the pound everyday for her and put out 80 fliers for her with no luck. So after leaving the pound yesterday with Kennidee crying I was on the search again for a "new" Bella. Well I found a listing last night with a cute little kitten that looked almost just like our Bella. So I drove up to Kaysville (yes Kaysville) to see these little beauties. Well Kennidee was so excited. Dawson went up with us and while we were checking out the little girl kitty for Kennidee one of the little boy kittens was just laying in Dawson's arms so of course Dawson decided he needed one too. He called and asked Dad and dad said no. Of course before too long Daddy said fine. Dawson was so excited. The kitten sat on his lap the whole ride home. It was so cute. Kennidee's was a little more nervous on the hour ride home but did well. So we are trying this one more time. So meet Cosmo and Bella the 2ND. Kennidee insisted that her name be Bella. They are very cute and sweet they already love playing with the toys and snuggle up together. It is cute. Thank you Daddy for letting us try this again.

Happy Fathers Day!

I wanted to post and wish all the Dad's a Happy Fathers Day! I hope you all enjoyed your day.
I also want to tell everyone how lucky my kids are. Jason is such a great Dad. He loves spending time with the kids. He loves playing games, going on bike rides, taking the kids to Disneyland or anything else that the kids enjoy. He always makes it a priority to go to the kids games, preschool graduations or anything else that is important. When they are sick he is always the first one to get up with them. He works so hard to take care of me and the kids. When he gets home from work he always helps so much with the kids. I love how involved Jason is with the kids and the special bonds that he has with each of the kids. I hope they always have such good relationships and that they realize how lucky they are.
I met Jason when Dawson was 6 months old. From day one him and Dawson had a wonderful relationship. Dawson would climb up on Jason's lap and Jason would read him stories or watch movies with him. I believe that Dawson knew before Jason and I even did that we would be married and that Jason would be his Dad. Jason will always be Dawson's special Dad!

We love you Daddy! Thanks for all you do for us.

BBQ with the Family!

So on Saturday we had a BBQ with Jason's family. Nate and Megan were here from Michigan. It was so fun to see them. They have a little girl named Madeleine who is 2 1/2 months younger then Kyson. We only got to see them for a short time at Christmas time. It was so fun to see them. Their little girl is such a doll. She has the biggest dimples. I love them. She is also a chubby little girl. I want to eat her. Our other kids were alot bigger then Kyson so we wanted to take a picture of

Kyson next to Madeleine to show what a runt he really is. Miss Maddie was so cute we had to take a picture of just her too. She did not want to smile but with a face like that she doesn't need too.

We did not have Dawson this weekend but we still thought it would be fun to take a picture of us.

Take me out to the ball game!

So Dawson started Coach Pitch. We are so excited. Last year he did T-ball and so we were excited to see how he would do actually having it pitched to him. His first game was last Saturday but it was FREEZING. Why the game wasn't rained out was beyond me. But being parents we got to still cheer them on. GO TEAM! Anyway because it was 8 in the morning (on a saturday mind you) and cold and rainy we did not get photos. Dawson wasn't too thrilled to be playing in the cold rain anyway. But the game yesterday was beautiful. Dawson did so well. We are so proud of him. He gets a little bored in the outfield. But it is so fun to watch him out there and watch him hit. Coach pitch everyone gets to hit and run. No outs. Dawson is very excited to start Soccer soon and then flag football as well. I am so glad that he enjoys sports. He is also very excited to start Electric guitar lessons in the fall. Enjoy our fun photos from the game.

So much Fun!

So while we were in St. George my sister and I thought we were brave enough to take all six of the kids to Jumpin Jacks. Well we had never been there and heard it was fun. Well first of all I think it was way over priced. But we went in anyway. The kids had a fun time though. So I guess that is all that matters. Kennidee wouldn't play for the first little while. She finally decided that it was alright. Thanks to my niece Sierra she was all over the place by the end. I put Kyson down on the little bounce area and he did not like it at all. After about 45 minutes Kori and I were so ready to go. So we got the kids lunch and then went back home and let them swim again. That night my sister was invited to a Bumbles Watches open house. They are so cute. Check out the link on the right. I bought me a really cute one.

She loved it once she started playing

Tatum totally loved it too! She is a crazy woman.

So we were suppose to come home on Thursday. My sister helps with Freight at the Buckle and she got called in and asked me to come and help because they were short handed. So I decided to stay one more day and go help. I was all packed and ready to leave but really did not need to be home til Friday. So I went and helped her. The best part was her boss let me get an outfit at 40% off for helping (For those that shop there, you know what a good deal that is). So I got a pair of capri's, and a cute shirt with a cami. Can't wait to wear it. I also got Jason a hot outfit! Wahoo! Gotta love that. But we made it home safe. The kids had a blast but I think they were ready to come home too.

Our kitty is missing... our princess is sad

It's amazing what kid's do to a parent. I hate cats, I hate dogs too, I'm an equal opportunity pet hater. (Yes i'm allergic to both... so I have my reasons), but I was able to put up with Bella, because Kennidee really wanted her. She was only in the house for a few weeks, in the bathroom, and I didn't have to do litter duty, so I was ok with it. We put her outside 2 weeks or so ago, she was doing great.

Well I was out of town Sunday until this morning, and Kacy decided to leave town as well. We had our nephew feeding the cat. Sometime between 3 yesterday afternoon and this morning, Bella decided she was done staying at this abandoned house and she took off.

I got home this morning and couldn't find her anywhere... I even drove down to the animal shelter in hopes of finding her there... but no Bella.

I am very saddened by her disappearance. Not because I like cats, but because Kennidee is down in St. George crying wondering where her Bella kitty is.

So for those around our neighborhood that read this, if you see Bella... Kennidee would love to have her back :)

Splishin' and a Splashin'

So Dawson is gone for two weeks and I always hate having him gone. Since Jason is gone and my sister Kori's husband travels too then I thought it would be fun to come hang out together for a few days. Kennidee has been so excited to come down and could not wait to swim. So we came down yesterday (Sunday) and as soon as we got down Kennidee was ready for the pool. So we swam yesterday and again today. The kids loved it. Kyson loves to play in water. I made sure to bring his floaty so that he could hang out a little longer. Since he is such my white boy we made sure to use plenty of sunscreen. Kennidee on the other hand will be my little brown girl by the time we get home. She plans on swimming everyday.

Kyson loves his little Floaty in the water.

Kennidee enjoying her popsicle

Kennidee with her cousin Brooke

Kyson after awhile of swimming Today was so tired. I was laughing so hard because he just put his face in his little hands and sat there watching the kids. He looks so bored.

My sisters little girl Tatum is seriously the craziest little girl. She is 19 months old and talks more then any little girl I have seen. She goes through my sisters house yelling my name all day. She cracks me up. She kept stealing her sisters sunglasses and running off with them laughing. I think she is so dang cute.

Me and the kids. Kennidee was too busy watching Kyson making sure he was looking at the camera. She is such a good little Mommy!

So we were all outside eating popsicles by the pool and I was sharing mine with Kyson. Well Tatum decided that she wanted some too. Well "Some" wasn't enough. After it was covered in drool from the two little kids I really wasn't too excited about it anymore. So Tatum just took it over. She was kind enough to sit with Kyson and share it with him. They sat on the chair and ate the whole thing.

The Verdict is in, He is still a runt!

So I took Kyson in for his One Year appointment. He has 1 tooth and it looks like the other bottom one is almost in and his top Gums are very swollen. I was actual shocked to find out that he weighs over 20 lbs. He weighs 20 lbs 2.5 oz (12th percentile) and he is 29 Inches long a big whopping 20th percentile. Now his head is in the 67th percentile. He must have lots of brains in that head. LOL I was so excited that he was actually big enough to go forward facing in the carseat. He hated sitting backwards. He likes to watch forward. Even in Shopping carts he turn himself around. Everything looks good though. I am going to copy Megan on his favorites.

Favorite Foods: Lunchable Jr, Cereal, Manicotti, Milk (Wahoo)and anything Mom is eating
Favorite Words to say: Mama, Dada, Daw (His interpretation of Dawson)
Favorite Toys: My cell phone, Balls, Anything that he isn't suppose to have.
Favorite Things To Do: Rip up paper and eat it, Pick marshmellows out of Lucky Charms, pull out the plug on my computer over and over again. Unroll toilet paper. Play in the bathtub or any water, Go for walks/bike rides in the trailer, Swinging, Playing with toys, Dance, Dance, Dance, and play with Dawson

Holy Heck, He ate a smurf

So we had a family birthday party for Kyson and it was so fun. We decided that since it was suppose to be warm. Well about an hour before his party it started raining. Fortunately it stopped in time to do his party. So the kids played on the swings and stuff and then we let Kyson open his presents. He was not too excited to unwrap them. He got some really fun stuff. Then it was time to break out the cake and Ice Cream. For the kids 1st birthdays they always get their own birthday cake. Kyson was so funny with his. When we first gave it to him he was sitting on a blanket. He crawled through it a few times and then Kim arrived with the booster chair. We locked him up and gave him his cake. He would not have anything he pushed it away several times. I finally decided it was time for him to dig in and I grabbed his hands and shoved them into the cake. That mad him mad. We finally all gave up and walked away and he decided it was time to eat now that there was no audience. We got some really cute pictures and a really cute video (Too long to post though) I still can't believe he is one. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Guess who just turned One?

So Our little monkey Kyson just turned One today. I can't even believe it. He is such a wonderful baby. He has been so much fun. I usually don't get sad like some moms do, but for some reason this one has been different. Right before I got pregnant with Kyson I had a miscarriage. So when I found out I was pregnant again I was so excited. I did not really care what we had but I was convinced that we were having a Girl. When we found out it was a boy I was shocked. I was also very excited. Kyson was a few weeks early but that was okay. He was my hardest and longest delivery. 6 1/2 hours. Yes I know for some of you that is nothing. But is was horrible and without an epidural too! After staying up all night he finally arrived at 6:20 A.M. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. I was so glad he was here. Dawson had his first T-ball game at 8:00 so Daddy left to take Dawson to his game and I got to go and watch Kyson's first bath. That was fun to be able to see it live, not on a camera. He was such a good baby. He was so cute too. Not that I am partial or anything. He has been such a busy boy and full of personality. He started crawling before he was even 6 months. However he doesn't walk yet. He is my smallest baby. We love him so much and we are so glad he is part of our family. He goes to the Doctor tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what he weighs. Will post that tomorrow. We also are having a party for him tonight. Will post later.
